We ask the burning questions...

Is it ok to eat a present that you bought for someone else?

Some background information:

My husband received a giant toblerone from Bella as a father's day present. I know I know, sad but true. Last year she bought him a dvd and tie. She was busy this year and only had time to run into Woolworth's.

Anyway, Dave likes chocolate but he has been less than enthusiastic about eating his way through the giant toblerone and since I hate food being wasted I felt I should help him out a little. If you snooze you lose.

So I figure its ok to eat someone elses chocolate that they are clearly not interested in and may potentially forget about anyway. Don't you think??

Hey hey Friday

Last night I had a dream that all my teeth fell out but my eye Dr was able to buy me new ones for $6,000. Seems pretty cheap for a new set of teeth. What's with that??

A kit kat just arrived in the mail. How lucky is that. Technically it was addressed to my husband but a lumpy package always needs to be inspected for dangerous items. Jackpot. I ate it to make sure it wasn't dangerous. It wasn't.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend. Might play some tennis. Might bake a carrot cake. Might see a movie. What might you be doing?

Have a good one.
PS. Those macaroons look so flat. Flat Stanley is a book my sister used to love. Weird huh?

Do we stay or do we go?

Image from here

Last night I was home alone. I ate an entire block of smarties chocolate. That's family size yes.
My dog looked at me with judgment in her eyes.

My sister just sent me a text from Bora Bora. Yes shes having a fabulous time. I was so worried thinking it would be terrible for her.

I read a blog on the weekend over at Good Mum Hunting - sweet name yeah. I can totally relate to Samantha's real estate decision dilemma. Do we build or do we renovate. Do we move back to Sydney and into a tiny semi or do we stay in the country. Pollution and traffic vs calm and tranquility. Friends and family vs nice rural community. Drama Drama Drama. I woke up in a hot sweat last night after searching real estate.com all night. With my chocolate.

All I need now is a Snake or lizard to appear and make my day. Don't you just love country living?
I think I need to call the Wam - bulance and have a good old whinge. x Ps I still have my pyjamas on.

My chocolate detox.

Well I seem to have kicked this habit. I got through Easter without any issues at all. I watched my husband much through his Easter treats and mine are looking a bit sad in the pantry. Funny thing is I don't want them.

I really don't know whats happened to the family block a day binge chocolate eater? Why why why have I not lost any kg's?
Its a mystery.
Bon bons are the only thing I can see breaking me. x

11 days without chocolate

I went to the movies on Saturday night and I didn't even flinch when I opened my mouth and ordered a choc top.
In my defence its not a movie without a CT and technically its not a bar of chocolate its merely a light coating of crackling cocoa goodness. Channelling my inner Nigella here.

So I can still proudly say that we here at c'est bon bon have been 11 days without a single piece of chocolate - let alone a bar or even a row. Yay for me!

However, please forgive me the moment of weakness where I scoffed two chocolate Monties when no one was looking. I hid behind the fridge although no one was home. x

4 days without chocolate

My weapon of choice
Is this some sort of family record??
OK so I'm trying to end my choc addiction. Its out of control. I went cold turkey with soft drink about a year ago, so I figure I can do this. Mind over matter, and all that. (I know I'm practically a saint already.)

I apologise to my husband in advance. The next few days of the chocolate detox are going to get scary/ hairy.

NB: I will still be allowed chocolate on special occasions IE Easter. I forgot about Easter.
