Under construction

Just to let you know I am aware and on top of some cosmetic changes around these parts. A blog make over is cheaper than a nose job.

If I was.....and some other things.

If I was lucky. Lucky lucky lucky, I would have unlimited credit at this online store.
Missoni Kaftan anyone?
And prices in Euros actually don't seem too expensive. Just don't convert and calculate. Just sayin.
In other news I may have discovered Sydney's best manicure. I should have taken a picture of my beautiful nails before cleaning the bathroom.... Should have. They looked nice for a few hours. That's' hot pink by OPI is making me happy today. The Ruby Room is great. Really great actually. If there is one thing I know its nails.
I've got my beady eyes on a pair of shooby's. Whats that what you say? Those shoe booty things. You know what I mean. They've been around for a while - I just figured I was too old for this trend. Until I tried a pair on and was strutting around like a happy peacock with a new pair of shooby's on. I give myself 4 days till I cave. They would be perfect for a gals night out.
So these are the other things. Hope you can forgive my lack of blogging. I have lost my mojo it would seem. It must be the lack of country air and ducks at my doorstep that's upset the delicate balance that is my blogging.

On that note

Dear potato bake,
Thank you for being so deliciously creamy and generous, so I can enjoy you again today while watching Oprah.
You are my kind of perfection.
Keep on keeping on.
Love Rachael

Check out this clever blog. I love stuff like this.

In other news we have a tree on our roof, so thank you SES man who is up on a cherry picker cutting it down as we speak. I'm glad you enjoyed your cup of tea and home made banana bread.
That's the way we roll here. Hope you had a good weekend without any incidents with trees.

That's all x

Masterchef.. I heart you

Only a few episodes left for the current season and I am sad. I wanted Alvin or Aaron to win. I know Aaron was a wild card but he had personality. I love inappropriate humour and he had that in buckets. Some of the remaining contestants are alittle uptight. Maybe that's the wrong word. Other words I can think of aren't really that nice so I'll stick with what I've written. My Nana is hooked on it too...
In other news, I am addicted to http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/. I didn't catch on before but I love it now.
We booked our mini ski trip today. Its chilly here. The locals say it might snow.. Whatever, they said that last year. I got my snow boots out. They just like scaring weekenders with their flash talk on the streets.
Christmas in July is only a week and a bit away. My burning question to you is,
Is it ok to serve a posh sticky date pudding as a Christmas dessert?
I did a test run and it was to die for.
I made bon bons yesterday on a whim. I had one at 8am. And two at lunch and one then just because. I'm home alone tonight and I can see where this will go...
Hope you have a fun night.
I'll be watching masterchef and eating bon bons.
That's all x

Welcome back, welcome back, weeelllcommme back.

These are hyacinths for my friend A
Oh how I've missed you little blog. And my blogging friends from far and wide (mainly from Sydney.)

Ive had a busy couple of weeks, but I'm back now and ready to go! A few things on the agenda. Pencils ready. I'll use bullet points for easy reading. Very considerate I know.

  • I'm getting scared as I still haven't organised SATC 2 tickets. This is CRAZINESS. Must to that today, otherwise a very excited ME and a very unexcited man (hubby) will be very lonely at downtown empire cinema. Except for a couple of brave pensioners.

  • Everyone seems to be turning 30 around me and its kind of hard to ignore it. Still have a couple of boxes to tick before the big oh oh. IE: Drive a car.

  • I have made the most gorgeous purchase of a very bright and showstopping coat. Red. I love it. I wore it with a tracksuit yesterday around the house. It was cold. The dog was wearing polar fleece. Yup that cold.

  • I'm loving my new hair colour. Thank you for all the compliments. I am claiming it to be my natural colour. Yes that is a lie.

  • My husband has a beard now.

  • Things are going well. How are you?

  • I don't hate comments. You can do it.

That's all. x

New blogging assistant needed.

Phew! I could really use an assistant to help with that all important research and hot chocolate run. My current assistant seems to enjoy being involved with the blog, however she can be a little bitchy at times and is prone to napping in the sun when I'm not looking.

If you know anyone please feel free to email me. xx

Have a great weekend. x

World's best pies?

Well hello. Its you again.

Hope you had a great long weekend. And didn't have migraine for 4 days which resulted in three trips to the Dr. No? Well then. Lets continue.

Apart from a very fun Saturday night (good tunes, good friends, good fun) I had a pretty crappy weekend. My well planned outfit for party night failed. Big time. Reason? You're too fat to wear that.com.

Ended up in a boring black dress but in all the drama I got in the car and thought, I must take a pic of semi OK outfit for my blog. I didn't remember when I was out and then fell asleep on the way home. I was also embarrassed to ask party goers to be involved so therefore no pics were taken and no one has emailed me any either. So I need to think of something. Note to self.

Anyway back to the pies. There is a lovely cafe in Bowral called The Elephant Boy, and I challenge you to find a better tasting pie. They are the reason possibly that I can't fit into any of my clothes... We got some on the weekend and although I didn't get to eat mine (feeling sick again) I took a pic for you and I hope you'll stop in and get one next time your in the Highlands.

That's my weekend wrap up? Hope yours was better?

PS This is my 100th post!

Its not easy being easy

Image from here
Maybe I was too cocky. Maybe I'm not as clever as I thought I was, but three weeks in and I've hit a wall.

A BLOGGING WALL.

Suggestions for topics to blog about from my husband:
1. Beer
2. Apple crumble - we had for dessert delicious but no boring
3. Cupcakes, been there. Got the tshirt.

Spent last half an hour googling interesting things. NB Nothing good comes up when you google 'interesting things'. So this is all I've got for you on a Tuesday night when I could be curled up watching the Kardashian finale. (Don't worry I'm taping it.)

My little boo boo is feeling better and thank god no more medicine applications needed. Gross.com x
That's all (sorry)

Hello Autumn

Hello first blog entry. I Love Autumn - especially when I am lucky enough to live in the highlands. The weather seemed to change overnight and the mornings are crisp and the sky is a heavenly blue.. Perfect hammock swinging weather. Don't mind if I do.....
Another great thing about colder weather heading our way are tulips. Love them. These are my second bunch for the year. Happiness to me is a bunch of flowers and a hot milo.
