Closet envy. I'm very envious.

I'm blogging from bed today. Not feeling too well but I am soldering on for my fans... I've got bed socks on (nice cashmere stripy ones from the white company)and i just broke a cardinal rule and ate a Mandarin in bed. Lock me up.
I'm determined to feel better - hey its a long weekend and I have things on! And a party to go to. So a bedroom related post for you. From me x

One thing Americans do really well is closets.
When recently spending a happy day at a display village (yes I was very happy, I was skipping along) I realised hhhmmmm I'm really missing out in the wardrobe stakes. My life is terrible I know.
Wherever me move next damn it I'm having a good closet.

I heard on the fly that Camilla Freedman of Camilla and Marc converted her spare bedroom into a closet. Screw resale value I say - what a great idea.

And while where at it I'd like a nice little dressing table area where I can sit and get ready leisurely. Right. With a beautiful chair and a chandelier and fresh flowers. I can see it now.
I imagine it to look something like this.....

Don't you just love a good card?

Oh the pressure.com

These cute cards come form the US. Naturally. A cute company called Giraffe Notes who have shop on etsy. These three were my favourites although all of their range is funny.
Cheeky and borderline inappropriate. Two of my favourite things really.

Style Stalker

Images from here
Starting this week I'm going to post a regular style stalking blog.

This entry is of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, or Princess M as I like to call her. Mary may have access to the best make - up artists, hair dressers and stylists, however she has two children and a demanding schedule of commitments and she always looks polished, elegant and super stylish. And she supports local Danish designers as well as every fashion house worth wearing.

Princess M, c'est bon bon applauds you and your Chanel clad self. WE love you but part of us wishes we had been at the Slip Inn ten years ago... x

W is for Wednesdays, W is for Weddings

Iconic wedding dresses today. I was looking through the latest Monique L'hullier wedding collection and they inspired me to write this W is for today. My most loved wedding dresses or wedding dress moments. Top 5 here. Now. Strap yourself in.

Grace Kelly is my number one. She was American and married a prince. In that dress. The full lace. Divine. Can't beat it.

Oh Princess Diana. I loved her so much. So graceful. So elegant. That's a pretty good dress choice for a 20year old in 1981.

Nicole Kidman looked so pretty and romantic. Loved it. Shame about the idiot she married. Sorry.

Carolyn. She got him and looked sexy as hell in Narcisco Rodriguez. Well why not?

Didn't love the dress but that moment. I could have screamed. I'm glad it all worked out in the end. Romantics here at c'est bon bon. Nice veil though.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback on my blog.

What the cool people are saying. "Loving your blog. It makes my day"

You know who you are x

I'm going to.
Well done sambag.

C'est bon bon tries to support Australian made and owned. This wasn't hard.

What is Rachael wearing?

Images from vogue.com
There seems to be a trend at the moment around town and in blogging world. BW. Whats (insert name here) wearing?

I think it originates by those crafty people at US Vogue asking stylish gals what they are wearing everyday for a month. They've done Alexa Chung and for April its Olivia Palermo.

Love her or hate her she is a very stylish bubble about town. The town being NYC. She has recently launched a jewellery collection and is the accessories editor for Elle magazine. She also moonlights on MTV's the City. Anyway she has access to great stuff but still she works it. She also has places to go. Ahem.

So I thought it would be a fun idea for you to email a pic of a great outfit you are rocking for April. No pressure. I'll start. This Saturday I have an event that requires some outfit thought other than warmth or comfort. Hey, I live in the country and its cold.

Email your pics and description to bonboncest@gmail.com to get famous.

Hello there. Yes you gorgeous....

I had a great weekend. Hope you did too.

Caught up with two girlfriends - debated about the last time we had had dinner all three of us together in one country, in one state, in one resturant. Turns out it was 8? years ago. Roughly. So it was nice to catch up. Sorry to the waiter who I offended by not taking his suggestions after asking for them.

Went to the rugby and actually had a fun time. Who would have thought??

I broke my chocolate detox. I blame the Rugby. I was out of my comfort zone. I also blame my husband. FYI treat does not = cherry ripe.

Had a nice long dinner at our fav Sydney restaurant. Some of my best decisions have been made here.

Went to bathers for Brunch with my sissy. Mmmmhhh strawberry milkshake.

Feel as thought I was munching away all weekend though. That's because I was. Did I mention hot chips at the Rugby? When in Rome. x

Happiness is....

Can I move here please?
Happiness is a trip to Moorland View, this lovely cottage in Devon.

I just asked my husband "When are we next off to Devon?" Not soon it seems.

Anyway I am often disappointed to go away to a place I've booked online and its not that great. Kind of tired and no nice flowers or candles. I always think my house is nicer and why did we bother. I know, I know just get over it and have fun. I always end up cleaning the bathroom or wearing thongs in the shower as I don't trust their cleaning. I find it hard to relax when things aren't bloody gorgeous. Remember that time we went camping with the lizards....

I can tell from reading all the details and looking at the beautiful pics and the rave reviews that this place would be much different. Who can complain when snuggled up in a White Company doona? Not me. I can almost smell the diptyque candles burning. Pomander's my fav in case you are wondering.

One could go on little jolly's in the neighbouring woodland. Doesn't that sound fun?? NB Jolly's means walking.

For now I am content to imagine myself curled up in this slice of British heaven. Almost.
That's all x
